Kitchen server rack
This is my pride and joy. My sweet half-rack that I currently have in my kitchen:

Building my rack

After assembling the rack and attaching a shelf and surge protector

The rack with my 16 port gigabit ethernet switch

Begining to build the 4U file server

My new file server is sporting an Intel DG965SS with a cheap Celron D processor and 1GB of DDR2. As of 11/13/2007 the file server has 1.1TB of storage!

The file server from the front

I had to copy all the files from my old server (Windows 2000) to my new server (CentOS)

The file server mounted on the rack

Added my printer and attached my wireless router to finish my ensemble of gadgetry

Nice Job! I stumbled across this post from a google web search.
Is it still in the same location as the picture above? I’m curious if you’re having any heat issues since it is right in front of a heater…
